iMIS Workshops -

BSCI 101 HD ; iMIS Overview for New Users                         

This half-day course is targeted to Users who are new to the core operational functions of iMIS Release 10. This course covers the basic functionality and navigation through the core modules. Special emphasis is placed on the 'How To' activities and tasks that users will encounter every day. (Note: Course can also be taught at Version 4.x)

Course Topics:  iMIS Menu Overview: Record Search: Adding Records: Adding Activities: Overview of Events, AR & Billing: Creating a Letter and Reporting.

BSCI 101 EM ; iMIS Events Management

This comprehensive 2-day course covers in detail the powerful iMIS Events sub-system, addressing the key aspects of full life-cycle Events management and administration. Along with the Events and advanced Function Planning functionality offered in iMIS, this course teaches Event Planners and Administrators to use the full functionality of the module, including Resource Management, different types  of Registration Processing, Reports Generation including Badges, Acknowledgement Letters, and Financials. Lastly, the course addresses the issues and techniques involved in post-event closing activities.

Course Topics: Events Management Overview; Events & Function Definition, including CEUs and Setting Rates; Resource Management, including Banquet Order Generation; Basic & Advanced Registration; Module Set-up; Table Maintenance (Activity Types & Registration Class Definition); Generating & Customizing Meeting Reports; Online Registration Considerations. BSCI 101 AR ; iMIS Financial Management and A/R Cash Module

This 2-day course is targeted to Financial Users who are new to the core functions of the iMIS Accounts Receivable module and related accounting & cash management functions as performed by iMIS. The first section of the course provides students a complete conceptual overview on the use of iMIS within the association's Financial Management system. This course does assume some experience using the core iMIS modules along with a basic understanding of accounting principles.

Course Topics: Review of Accounting Terms & Principles in iMIS; The iMIS Workflow; Transaction Processing, Verification & Correcting; A/R Cash Set-up; Multiple Entities; Batch Control; Month-end Processing & GL Interface; Deferred Income; Credit Balance; Dues Processing; Order Entry & Inventory Control; Service Central. BSCI 301 E ; iMIS e-Series Application Set-up & Maintenance

This is an accelerated 1-day course designed for those responsible for administrating an iMIS e-Series environment.  This course begins with a brief overview of the technical configuration requirements of an e-Series implementation, but moves quickly to focus on how to set-up, maintain and modify the iMIS e-Customer Management, e-Events, e-Dues and e-Orders modules.  Students will gain the ability to support and answer questions on the online usage of e-Series.

Course Topics:  Using e-Series; Setting e-Series System Parameters; Defining Lookups; Setting up iMIS for e-Series; Configuring Security; Credit Card Authorization.(top)

BSCI 501 ; iMIS Application Set-up for Power Users

This 2-day course is designed for iMIS Administrators & Power Users, and focuses
on iMIS Application set-up considerations outside of the functional modules. For example, students will learn how to activate the individual iMIS modules and to set access rights for these modules. Additionally, this course focuses on extending out-of-the-box functionality offered by iMIS such as adding Tables, Windows and Reports.

Course Topics: Establishing a Licensed Configuration; Creating User Identities & Security Levels; Customizing the iMIS Portfolio, including customizing Demographic Windows; Maintaining Validation Tables; Working with Standard & Customized Reports; iMIS (Menu-driven) Import / Export & Data Maintenance Utilities. BSCI Half Day Report Workshops;

BSCI has created 5 new half day training classes that explore the reports
options in the following iMIS modules:  Membership, AR/Cash, Billing, Events and Fundraising.  The classes will cover the standard reports, but also go beyond the basics and  show how to use Microsoft Office to gather data in a format not always
available in iMIS reports.  Word Merge is another new half day class that demonstrates how to use the iMIS Letter System and Word Merges.
Each class is 3 hours in length and the cost is $100.00 per person.  (top)

 

Crystal Report Workshops -

BSCI 201 ; iMIS Introductory Crystal Reports         

This 2-day course is designed for beginner to intermediate Seagate Crystal Reports users who need to quickly become proficient in creating and modifying reports. This course teaches students the iMIS table structure in relation to developing Crystal Reports. This course not only provides demonstrations and hands-on practice with the iMIS demo database, it also provides a practical setting for students to work on Reports pertinent to their own work environment.

Course Topics: Overview of Crystal Reports & Integration with iMIS; Creating a Basic Report; Report Design Window; Record Selection; Sorting, Grouping & Summarizing Records; Formatting; Working with Objects, Formulas and Parameters; Appending Crystal Reports to the iMIS  Menu. (top)

BSCI 202 ; iMIS Advanced Crystal Reports

This two-day course is designed to increase report design skills and discover the advanced reporting power of Crystal Reports. Along with hands-on practice, the course covers architecture, Structured Query Language as it relates to Crystal Reports, Advanced Formula Creation, Dictionaries, and Queries

Course Topics: Crystal Review; Formula Basics: Advanced Formulas; Conditional Formatting;Cross Tab Objects; Form Letters; Sub Reports; Charts; Queries and Report Distribution. (top)
